Northern Ireland’s John Haughey has been winning fans over quite a bit recently. Seen as the indie electronica equivalent to Jon Hopkins, John’s new album ‘Flowline’ certainly contains some of that same cinematic DNA to warrant comparison. But Flowline deserves so much more than the convenient shlepping and tagging of another artist’s style of work. It flies on its own merits.

"My music has digressed from heavy bass - driven techno to a much more mellow, minimal style" Says John. “Flowline was a project that was meant to be more piano focused. I had recorded some melodies a couple of years ago and had never done anything with them, so it was a good opportunity to revisit them. The album is curated to the theme of the slow movement"

Some excellent pieces: 3, 4, 6. But the heavy distortions specially on track 1 are not my thing, so I deleted these tracks and fokussed on the gems. Try "In The Eternal Cold". And yes, some d***, too. But maybe you find the difference. r3n3
